About Tangram:

Founded in 1985, Tangram is an Indianapolis-based nonprofit organization with more than 40 years of experience supporting children and adults with disabilities in living as independently as possible with choice, control, and a strong sense of belonging. Founded with a commitment to person-centered care, Tangram has grown into a trusted community partner serving hundreds of individuals and families across Central Indiana each year.

Over the years, Tangram has expanded its services to meet the evolving needs of the community. Today, the organization offers a comprehensive range of supports, including Autism and ABA therapy services, diagnostic testing, behavior consultation, health and  wellness services, employment services and job coaching, life coaching, transportation, and both community-based and residential services. This holistic approach allows Tangram to meet individuals where they are and provide the right level of support at every stage of life.

Through these services, Tangram empowers individuals to build confidence, develop essential life skills, access meaningful opportunities, and engage more fully in their communities. At the same time, Tangram works alongside families, caregivers, and community partners to create more accessible environments where people of all abilities are valued and supported.

With a deep commitment to advocacy, belonging, and opportunity, Tangram continues to evolve to meet the changing landscape of disability services while staying rooted in its mission. More than four decades later, Tangram’s impact can be seen in the lives of the individuals and families it serves every day, helping people not just access support, but truly thrive.

At Tangram, your support means creating real opportunities for people with disabilities to live with dignity, independence, and belonging in our community. It helps someone access a diagnosis that brings clarity and direction, gain the skills needed for meaningful employment, find safe and supportive housing, or build connections within their community. Your support also strengthens families, reduces barriers to care, and ensures individuals have access to transportation, wellness resources, and personalized services that meet their unique needs. Ultimately, your support fuels a system of care that empowers people to make choices about their own lives and move forward with confidence, strengthening a more accessible and connected community for everyone.
